25 things tag jan 09

This is the 25 things tag. I owe about three people here and on Facebook, so I guess I better get busy. Anyone who reads this is welcome to tackle it.

1) I love to drive, especially 5 speed manual transmissions, and this is a criterion for any and all car purchases.

2) I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up.

3) I went back to school at 33, and received my BA in economics in December 1997 at 37.

4) I love art and architecture, and want to travel the world to see as much of both as I possibly can.

5) Taking pictures is the best way I know to express myself. It allows me to use my eye while still indulging my inate laziness.

6) Now that I am paying attention to politics and have some opinions, I understand why I've always hated it.

7) My husband still makes me laugh after 30 years. He is my rock, personal chef, and comic all rolled into one-along with a couple other things ;)

8) I need someone to pay me to travel, eat and drink well, and take pictures. Anybody have any ideas?

9) I like Myspace much better than Facebook, but I need to be there because of the people there who are not here anymore, or were never here.

10) I like What Not to Wear, Charmed, and Absolutely Fabulous, but also Entourage and Deadwood.

11) I played clarinet and flute in as a kid and in high school, but haven't picked them up since.

12) I like to observe people and be lost in the crowd. Rich-absolutely; famous-no! What good would money be if you couldn't walk out the front door?

13) I'm basically a very selfish person.

14) I love cats and think I was one in a former life.

15)I get bored with some things very easily; others (like friends and husband) are my touchstones and stay around a long time.

16) Never was a jock or played any sports, but I love baseball and am a lifelong fan of the Phillies.

17) I used to hate how my eyes crinkle up and close when I smile, but now that my dad's gone I cherish it as a gift from him.

18) I'm still toying with the idea of getting a tattoo-2009 may be the year.

19) I get just as much pleasure from relaxing on a secluded beach as I do from hitting the town in NY or other big cities.

20) I love crossword puzzles and any word games but not sudoku.

21) I love to read; fiction helps me escape from the world, and non-fiction helps me understand and appreciate it.

22) The most amazing this I've ever done has to be quitting work to study in Prague, Czech Republic for six weeks in the summer of 1997.

Okay-I know this is only 22, but it's enough.
