If you've been paying attention lately, you know that I am pretty damn sick of the Chicago job-the travel is annoying at best, the work is tedious, and a couple people have annoyed the hell out of me blah blah blah.
I had lots of plans with my nearest and dearest this weekend and really enjoyed myself-HOWEVER- I am very happy to be getting the hell out of here this morning. Why? The Pennsylvania primary! As you know, the primary is tomorrow, and even though PA is very late in the season and usually has no say in the primary outcome-this year it is GIGANTIC! Hillary and Barack are fighting to the death, and the latest battleground is Pennsylvania.
Yes, I know, you say, but Elizabeth lives in New Jersey, why would she be concerned about Pennsylvania? Well, in South Jersey (for explanation, see NJ Great Divide blog) we watch some Philly TV stations and listen to some Philly radio, so our airwaves are under bombardment by ridiculous attack ads and other election-related drivel-OMG-it's enough already!! I went to Philly to see my mom yesterday and the vision of a city in springtime glory was marred by competing Hillary and Barack signs-AAARRRGGGHHHH!
Take me back to Illinois, please!! By the time I get home next weekend it will all be over-can't wait.
OK-rant concluded-back to your regularly scheduled MySpace.
